Professional IE and Certified Industrial Engineer
How to apply for Professional Industrial Engineer (PIE) ?
Active members of PIIE with 7 years of IE-related experience may apply of the Professional Industrial Engineer (PIE). Here are the requirements for Professional Industrial Engineer:
- Sources of Points – Using the sources of point form, you must take a self assessment using your credentials (Certificates) with a minimum of 50 points score.
- Checklist.
- PIE Application Form
- Curriculum Vitae
- Endorsement Letter PIIE Board
- Endorsement Letter PIIE Member
Note:
- Application Form, Checklist and Sources of Point form are downloadable at the IECB Website https://iecb.com/index.php/dl
- PIIE application fee is P3,000.00
- Submit the hard copies of the application (w/clearbook) at the PIIE Office, Unit 3410 Cityland Pasong Tamo Tower, Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City
How to apply for Certified Industrial Engineer (CIE Exam) ?
Industrial Engineering graduates may apply for the Industrial Engineering Certificate Examination. Here are the requirements for Certified Industrial Engineer Examination:
- Application Form for PIIE Membership (Downloadable)
- Application Form for CIE (Downloadable)
- Transcript of Records (TOR) (Original and Photocopy)
- Diploma (Original and Photocopy)
- PSA Birth Certificate
- Resume
- 2pcs. 2×2 colored photo with white background preferably in formal attire
Please submit the above requirements via courier at Unit 3410 Cityland Pasong Tamo Tower, 2210 Don Chino Roces Avenue Makati City 1231, Philippines
Important Notes:
- When the University has not issued a Diploma yet, a certified true copy of the Certificate of Graduation from the university registrar shall be submitted.
- Send the Original or Authenticated Copy of your TOR, Diploma or Certificate of Graduation, and PSA Birth Certificate upon submission of the application.
- Additional 2 years of the membership fee, oath-taking fee, and registration fee will be charged upon passing the exam and must be paid prior to the oath taking ceremonies
How to renew my license if I am a Certified or Professional Industrial Engineer (CIE/PIE)?
Here are the requirements for the PIIE members who wish to renew their CIE/PIE License renewal:
- CIE/PIE Application Form – downloadable at the IECB Website.
- PIE Membership Application Form – downloadable at the PIIE Website
- 2×2 Picture – must be in high resolution jpeg format
- Electronic Signature – must be in high-resolution jpeg format
- Copy of the Expired ID
- Proof of Payment – kindly indicate when did you transfer your payment (if the date is not indicated in the slip)
- Photos of your expired IDs.
Renewal Fee:
- 3-year PIIE Membership Fee (Discounted): For;
- Academe: P2,000.00
- Industry: P3,500.00
- CIE/PIE License Renewal Fee (3 Years): P3,000.00
Therefore, fees are either:
- Academe + CIE/PIE = P5,000.00
- Industry + CIE/PIE = P6,500.00
For Cebu and Davao Chapter Members, please coordinate your PIIE Membership renewal to your respective chapter. Kindly email us the following requirements to process your CIE ID.
- CIE/PIE Application Form – downloadable at the IECB website
- PIIE Membership Certificate valid for 3 years from your PIIE Chapter
- 2×2 picture- must be in high resolution jpeg format
- Electronic Signature – must be in high-resolution jpeg
- Copy of the expired ID
- Proof of payment – P3,000.00 only

How to claim collaterals for members and PIE/CIE Passers who have already taken their oaths?
You may claim your collaterals in the PIIE main office thru the following:
Option 1: Scheduled pick-up- bring the signed copies of your PIIE and CIE oath, and Code of Ethics.
Option 2: Thru an authorized representative – bring an authorization letter, signed copy of PIIE and CIE oath, and Code of Ethics.
Option 3: Thru Grab/Lalamove – advise us one day ahead if schedule pick-up and instruct your rider to go to our unit to pick-up your collaterals.

What are the perks of having a CIE Certification? Is it the same with the PRC license that can be used as an eligibility to apply for government agencies? How will it help our Industrial Engineers find a job?
No. The CIE exam is a requirement for CIE certification. Being a CIE improves the credibility and integrity of profession. It helps create opportunities to prequalify as a premium candidate for employment by both local and foreign companies.
CIE is not a government exam; hence, it is not regulated by the PRC. The CIE exam is a peer recognition initiative of PIIE recognized by the Philippine Technological Council (PTC), of which all engineering organization are members.

For Individual
- Academe: P1,000.00
- Industry: P1,500.00
For Student Chapter
- Academe: P1,000.00
- Industry: P1,500.00
For Institutional
- Companies/Universities: P3,500.00
For Lifetime
- Academe: P10,000.00
- Industry: P15,000.00
- Institutional: P35,000.00

- Individual, Student Chapter, and Institutional Membership are renewable annually.

CIE Passers may apply to the Associate ASEAN Engineer (AAE). Below are the requirements and guidelines for AAE:
